This Privacy Policy applies to Cleaner: Phone Cleaning App, provided by Particle Dance Limited.
The App helps users review and manage photos, screenshots, videos, contacts, calendar events, and device storage. It also provides private album, private contacts, and video-compression features.
This document explains what stays on your device, what may leave your device, why certain permissions are requested, and what choices you have.
The Most Important Distinction
The App handles information in two different ways.
Personal content used by the cleaning and private-storage features stays on your device. We do not upload your photos, videos, contacts, calendar contents, private album contents, or private contact contents to our servers.
Operational information may be transmitted outside your device. This includes identifiers, App interactions, advertising events, purchase information, IP addresses, device details, and crash information used for analytics, advertising, subscription verification, security, and troubleshooting.
Content That Remains on Your Device
The App may examine or modify the following content after you provide the necessary system permission:
- Photos and videos;
- Similar or duplicate-looking photos;
- Screenshots;
- Large or selected videos;
- Contacts and contact records;
- Calendar events;
- Content placed in the private album;
- Information placed in the private contacts feature; and
- Videos selected for compression.
These items are processed locally for purposes such as grouping similar images, identifying files for review, organizing selected content, compressing videos, or performing an operation that you request.
The contents of these items are not sent to Google Analytics for Firebase, advertising providers, or Particle Dance’s servers.
The App may generate local indexes, thumbnails, similarity results, temporary files, or compressed copies while performing a task. These materials remain on the device and may be removed when the relevant operation is completed, when you delete them, or when the App is removed.
Actions involving deletion, merging, modification, or compression are carried out through the system functions available on your device. An item that you delete may remain temporarily in Apple’s “Recently Deleted” folder, an iCloud backup, another synchronized device, or another storage service. Those copies are controlled by Apple or the relevant service provider rather than by Particle Dance.
Information That May Leave Your Device
The following table describes information that may be transmitted to Particle Dance or an external service.
Usage events are designed to record actions rather than the personal content involved in those actions. For example, the App may record that a video-compression task was completed, but it should not transmit the video itself, its visual content, or private contact information as part of that event.
An IP address is normally transmitted when the App communicates with an internet service. It may indicate a general geographic area, but it is not used by Particle Dance to determine your precise physical location.
Why Operational Information Is Used
Operational information supports the following activities:
- Delivering and maintaining App functionality;
- Determining whether features and workflows operate as expected;
- Understanding general usage patterns;
- Improving interface design and product performance;
- Locating crashes, errors, slow operations and compatibility problems;
- Confirming subscriptions, free trials and lifetime purchases;
- Restoring valid purchases;
- Displaying contextual or personalized advertisements;
- Measuring advertising campaigns and attribution;
- Preventing fraud, manipulation and technical abuse;
- Responding to support requests;
- Protecting the App and its users; and
- Complying with legal requirements.
Photos, videos, contacts, calendar entries, and private content are not used to build advertising profiles.
Access Controlled by Your Device
The App cannot use protected system resources unless the relevant permission is available. You can refuse a request or withdraw permission later through system settings.
Precise location and local-network access are not inherently required to identify similar photos, clean screenshots, manage contacts, manage calendar events, or compress videos.
Analytics, Advertising and Purchases
The App uses different external services for different operational purposes.
Google Analytics for Firebase may receive App instance information, device details, IP address, user properties, purchase events and interactions with App features. Particle Dance uses this information to understand product performance and usage patterns. Firebase services may use installation identifiers to associate events with a particular App installation. Further information is available in Google’s Firebase privacy documentation.
Google Mobile Ads may receive advertising identifiers, device information, IP address, approximate location inferred from IP address, ad impressions, clicks, consent signals and fraud-prevention information. The information used depends on the user’s consent, device settings, region and the type of advertisement being delivered. Further information is available in Google’s Privacy Policy.
Apple processes App Store payments, subscriptions, free trials, refunds and purchase restoration. Particle Dance receives transaction and entitlement information but does not receive complete payment-card or bank-account details. Apple handles this information under its own privacy terms.
If the App later integrates another analytics, crash-reporting, attribution or advertising provider, the relevant disclosure must be updated to identify that service and its role.
Advertising Tracking
The App may present Apple’s AppTrackingTransparency request.
If you authorize tracking, Google Mobile Ads or another disclosed advertising partner may use IDFA and link App or device activity with information collected from other companies’ apps, websites or offline sources. This may be done for personalized advertising, audience selection, advertising attribution, retargeting or campaign measurement.
Device ID, User ID, advertising identifiers, advertising data and related behavior events may therefore be treated as data that is linked to a user or device and Used for Tracking.
If you refuse or later withdraw tracking authorization:
- The App will not access IDFA for tracking;
- Information will not be used for cross-app tracking that requires ATT authorization;
- You may continue to see contextual or non-personalized advertisements; and
- Limited information may still be processed for subscription verification, security, fraud prevention, technical operation and permitted measurement.
Apple requires ATT permission before an app accesses IDFA or links data across companies for targeted advertising or advertising measurement. More information is available in Apple’s User Privacy and Data Use guidance.
Tracking authorization can be changed in your device’s privacy settings.
When Information Is Disclosed
Operational information may be disclosed to:
- Analytics and diagnostic providers;
- Advertising, attribution and advertising-measurement providers;
- Apple for purchase and entitlement administration;
- Infrastructure, security and technical-support vendors;
- Professional advisers where reasonably necessary;
- Government authorities or other parties when disclosure is legally required; and
- A successor organization in connection with a merger, financing, acquisition, restructuring or transfer of business assets.
We may also disclose information when reasonably necessary to investigate fraud, prevent abuse, protect users, defend legal rights or respond to a valid legal request.
Particle Dance does not sell users’ photos, videos, contact contents, calendar contents, private album contents or private contact contents.
We do not exchange personal information for monetary payment. Some privacy laws may nevertheless describe personalized-advertising disclosures as a “sale,” “sharing,” or use for targeted advertising. Where those laws apply, available opt-out rights can be exercised through ATT, applicable consent controls, device settings or a request sent to us.
How Long Information Exists
Retention depends on where the information is processed.
On your device: Local content remains until you delete or modify it, remove it from the App, uninstall the App, or manage it through Apple or another synchronized storage service.
Particle Dance systems: Personal data stored in systems directly controlled by Particle Dance is retained for no longer than 7 days and is then deleted or de-identified, unless temporary additional retention is required to investigate fraud or security incidents, resolve a dispute, comply with law, or establish or defend legal claims.
Third-party systems: Google, Apple and other disclosed providers apply their own retention schedules, account settings and deletion procedures. Their retention periods may be longer than seven days and are not controlled solely by Particle Dance.
Aggregated information that can no longer reasonably be connected to a user, device or installation may be retained for statistical and product-planning purposes.
Controls Available to You
You can control much of the App’s data access without contacting us.
You may:
- Limit photo access to selected items where supported by iOS;
- Revoke camera, photo, contact, calendar, location or local-network access;
- Refuse or revoke tracking authorization;
- Delete content stored inside the App;
- Manage items in the system “Recently Deleted” folder;
- Remove the App and its local data;
- Manage or cancel a subscription through your Apple Account; and
- Contact us about data stored in systems controlled by Particle Dance.
Removing the App does not automatically cancel an active subscription.
Because personal content is not uploaded to Particle Dance, we normally cannot retrieve, restore, export or delete your local photos, videos, contacts, calendar events or private content on your behalf.
Privacy Requests
Depending on the laws that apply where you live, you may request:
- Access to personal data held by Particle Dance;
- Correction of inaccurate information;
- Deletion of eligible information;
- Restriction of or objection to certain processing;
- Withdrawal of consent;
- A portable copy of eligible data;
- An opt-out from targeted advertising, sale or sharing;
- Review or appeal of certain privacy decisions; or
- Information about categories of data and recipients.
Requests may be sent to support@particle-dance.com.
We may need an App installation identifier, transaction identifier, device information or other limited details to locate the relevant records and verify the request. We will not ask for information that is unnecessary for verification.
Legal Grounds
Where applicable law requires a legal ground, information is processed based on one or more of the following:
- Your consent, including consent for protected permissions, personalized advertising and tracking;
- Performance of a contract, such as providing paid access and validating purchases;
- Legitimate interests in product analytics, security, fraud prevention, fault diagnosis and service improvement, provided those interests do not override your rights; and
- Compliance with legal obligations.
Withdrawal of consent applies to future processing and does not invalidate processing already performed lawfully.
International Processing
External service providers may process information in countries other than the country where you live. Privacy laws and regulatory protections may differ between countries.
Where legally required, Particle Dance and its providers use contractual, organizational or other recognized safeguards for international transfers.
Security and Local Protection
Particle Dance uses reasonable technical and organizational safeguards for information transmitted outside the device. No network transmission, software product or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
The security of locally stored private content also depends on your device. You should use a device passcode, protect biometric access, keep the operating system updated and maintain suitable backups.
The private album and private contacts features provide an additional organizational or access-control layer. They should not be treated as protection against every form of malware, device compromise, unauthorized backup access, data loss or physical access to an unlocked device.
Children
The App is not directed to children under 13 or under the minimum age required by local law.
Particle Dance does not knowingly collect children’s personal data in violation of applicable law. If you believe that a child has provided personal data improperly, contact us so that the matter can be reviewed.
Updates to This Policy
This Privacy Policy may be revised when App features, SDKs, data practices or legal requirements change.
The revised version will be made available through the App, the App Store listing or another appropriate channel. The effective date will be updated accordingly. Additional notice or consent will be provided when required for a material change.
